Today, let me start with Mrs. Heyatx. In summary, she would like to change Lily James' dress and have it become her wedding dress. Heyatx is a creative woman. I really enjoy working with her. It is really an unforgettable experience.
In the beginning, she submitted a customization with some requirements and attached the below pictures for our reference.
I confirmed every single detail accordingly in her customization, including fabrics, color, buttons back, removing pleats, etc. She replied quickly, also enclosed below pictures for me to check the pleats which she would like to have at the waistline.
Fortunately, all of those requirements can be met. Here, please allow me to explain how a designer prices a custom dress. The cost of a dress depends on style, craftsmanship, embellishment, fabric, color, quality, etc. Besides, I often take customers’ budgets into account. For customers who do not provide a real budget or have a high budget, I give the quotation based on the high-quality fabric; For customers who provide a VERY low budget, I give the lowest quotation with fabric that is not high-quality, but also not too cheap.
Friendly tip: Lunss refuses any really cheap fabric.
After getting her payment, I provided pictures of the fabrics for her confirmation. Obviously, she loved them very much.
She decided to have a lining in blue color finally. About one month later, we finished the dress and provided pictures for her to check.
She liked the dress overall but came up with the requirement of some alterations. Including the color of the skirt, fabric on the bodice, etc. She was thoughtful, and also gave some examples of color combo she had in mind.
For "change fabric on the bodice", from a designer's vision, I did not advise it and insisted on original lace fabric. Finally, she agreed with my suggestion. After confirming everything with her, we started modifying the dress at her request and uploaded pictures for her final confirmation.
