Beautiful beautiful dress

I honestly loved my prom dress so much. For the price I paid, it was 100% worth it, and I truly feel like I got my dream dress. The quality was great and everything came together exactly how I envisioned overall.

The only thing I had to adjust myself was the crystals at the top. I ended up dyeing them because they couldn’t get the exact color I wanted. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re very specific about details.

Communication is probably the one area that could be improved. I do wish there were more updates during the process, like progress pictures instead of only seeing the final result at the end. That would’ve made the experience feel a lot smoother and more reassuring.

That being said, the process overall wasn’t too difficult, and I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Also, shipping was AMAZING once it was sent out, it got to me in less than a week, which honestly shocked me.

Overall, I’m super happy with my dress and would still recommend them. Just be prepared to be a little patient with communication!

I am looking to have a custom prom dress made with a primarily A-line silhouette, fitted at the chest and hips with a flowy, dramatic bottom, though I am open to a bodycon or mermaid style if it achieves a similar effect. I want the dress to be hot pink/fuchsia and made from a crystal-like fabric with a lot of shimmer and sparkle. The dress should be strapless and include a structured corset bodice (this is a must), designed to be low-waisted—not high-waisted or a full drop waist—in order to elongate my torso. I would love heavy crystal or beaded detailing on the bodice, possibly with draping crystals or extra embellishment to draw attention to the top. The dress should be floor-length and slightly longer to accommodate my height and heels. I do not want lace or silk fabrics, but I would like matching gloves made from a fabric that complements the crystal/glitter look.

Silhouette: A-line preferred (fitted at chest and hips, flowy bottom); open to bodycon/mermaid if similar fit
Color: Hot pink / fuchsia
Fabric: Crystal-like fabric with heavy shimmer and sparkle (no lace, no silk)
Bodice: Strapless corset (required), very structured and snatched
Waistline: Low-waisted corset (not high-waisted, not full drop waist) to elongate torso
Details: Heavy crystal or beaded embellishment on the bodice; possible draping crystals for emphasis
Length: Floor-length, slightly longer to accommodate height and heels
Skirt: Flowy and dramatic at the bottom
Extras: Matching gloves made from a fabric that complements the crystal/glitter look
Inspiration: Love strong crystal detailing like the red dress reference photos

Hello

Thank you for choosing LUNSS for your high-end customization. This is Shirley at your service. It's my pleasure to assist you in customizing your dream prom dress.

We are sending you a selection of beading fabrics for you to choose from. Please note that different fabrics will result in different price quotations. We look forward to cooperating with you soon.

avatar - Nya_mavis

I really like Fabric 3-1 , but I’m hoping for something that feels less sequin/pearly and more crystal-like. Do you have any fabrics with a stronger crystal or rhinestone look?

avatar - Shirley

How about this fabric?

mceclip0

mceclip1

If you would like to add more crystals to the neckline, that would require us to add them manually (by hand). Please understand that this specific fabric does not come with pre-attached crystals.

mceclip2

mceclip3

Here is a previous dress we made for your reference. What do you think?Once you have selected your preferred fabric, we will use that material to create your dress, and then add some sparkling crystals to the neckline area.

avatar - Nya_mavis

I prefer Fabric 3-1 over this one because it has more of a pearly mermaid vibe with a more intricate crystal look, so I’ll stick with the previous fabric. I like the structure of the dress, but I don’t like the neckline—it’s too deep of a V. I want the same exact neckline and overall look as the red dress I provided, just recreated in hot pink. I prefer a softer U-shaped neckline, no slit, and a long length at the bottom

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip0

Fabric 3-1 is available.

Would you like a lace-up back?

mceclip1

We will be making the neckline shown in the picture and a mermaid skirt with a short train.

Hi! I just wanted to ask if payment is required now. I absolutely love the photo you provided. Yes, I would like a lace-up back, and I want the dress to be very supportive so it snatches me in and lifts my bust. I know the example shown is red, but I’d like mine to be hot pink. Other than that, everything is perfect. Thank you so much for your patience and amazing service! 💕

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Lace-up back is available, and we will add invisible boning and a built-in bra for the bodice.

Yes, the dress will be hot pink:)

mceclip0

Yes, you may add the dress to your cart and make the initial deposit. Please feel free to provide your measurements at your convenience, and we will then arrange for the factory to begin production.

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - Nya_mavis

I have paid the down payment and will give my measurements tomorrow :)

avatar - Shirley

Thank you for your down payment❤️

Hello dear, have you got your custom measurements? 😊

avatar - Nya_mavis

heyyy my brother just did the for me 😛

IMG_7899

can you let me know if you got the measurements and when i should expect you to reach out? i don't want to be anxious, so I hope you can keep me in the loop ☺️

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Thank you for providing your custom measurements.

  • Height (barefoot): 5'6 in
  • Bust: 31 1/2 in
  • Under Bust: 27 in
  • Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point: 9 1/2 in
  • Waist (smallest portion): 24 1/2 in
  • Hips (fullest portion): 34 in
  • Hollow to Floor (barefoot): 55 1/2 in
  • Shoe Height: 5 in

Due to a high volume of current orders, we expect to send you progress photos around January 20th. Please kindly bear with us and allow some time for production. We guarantee that your order will be completed by the end of January. Thank you for your patience!

I would like to double-check two details with you. First, please note that the dress does not include any accessories, such as gloves or veils.

Second, due to the fabric width limitations, there will be a seam at the waist. Would you prefer a V-waist seam or a natural waistline? We will do our best to make the seam as discreet as possible to ensure the dress looks seamless and natural.

mceclip1

avatar - Nya_mavis

there is waistline on the original dress if you look closely I just prefer if you show me the dress and how subtle the seam is before you continue after, because your example picture doesn't look very subtle to me. secondly I do want gloves I've said this multiple times I want gloves to match the dress. thank you for your patience and being very communicative.💕

IMG_7881

can you show me what the v waist looks like?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Thank you for providing the clear reference photo. Yes, the waistline of this dress is indeed slightly lower than the natural waistline. We will make a note of this and ensure the waist seam is not visible. We recommend the style in the photo, with a straight waistline rather than a V-waistline.

Regarding the gloves: since we do not manufacture gloves in-house, they were not included in the original quote. However, we can source them for you from the market. We found a pair of finished gloves similar to this style.

mceclip0

What do you think? The price is $20.

avatar - Nya_mavis

IMG_7904

IMG_7905

i was thinking gloves like the photos above. and if you recommend a view waist I trust you Shirley

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Thank you for your trust.

We can definitely use the same fabric as the dress to create these sleeves. Would you like to proceed with the sleeve design instead?

mceclip0

avatar - Nya_mavis

No, from the beginning i've said i wanted gloves. as a compromise maybe you could make long fingerless gloves (removable sleeves) so later i can take them to a tailor and turn them into actual gloves

please reach out so i know how we will go forward.

avatar - Shirley

Hello

I apologize for the delayed response. We are actually off for the weekend today.

Regarding your sleeves, would you like the cuffs to be made looser so you can have them tailored into gloves locally? Alternatively, would you be interested in this fingerless glove design instead? Let me know your thoughts!

mceclip0

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hello Shirley,

To be very clear, I would like long, opera-length fingerless glove–style sleeves made from the same fabric as the dress.

These should be constructed as a tube intended for glove conversions so they should have a thumb hole, not as a tight sleeve. Please make the wrist and hand area slightly loose/baggy (not tapered), so that a local tailor can later shape them into full gloves with fingers.

I would also like crystal/beaded embellishments on the gloves, with the crystals placed mainly along the arm and back of hand , and lightly dripping or cascading from the gloves, similar to the reference pics i will send again.

Please avoid heavy or dense beading directly over the palm or finger area, so the gloves can still be tailored properly later.

This detail is very important to me, as I have wanted matching crystal gloves from the beginning.Thank you for taking the time on your off day to sort this out. no rush in responding let me know what you think whenever you get the time.

733C570E 3820 41B7 ADD3 63172962C600

Also, since this dress includes custom crystal detailing and glove-style sleeves, would it be possible to receive a few progress photos during production and an expectation date on when to check for updates. Just to make sure everything is aligning with the original design before final completion? I really appreciate how patient and understanding you're being 😊

avatar - Shirley

You're very welcome! I'm also very happy to be designing this with you. Regarding the gloves, as we do not specialize in making them, our service and quote generally only include the sleeves.

How about this: we can provide you with an extra half-yard of matching fabric for free? This way, you can have a local tailor create the perfect gloves for you. What do you think?

Alternatively, for an additional $40, we can create long sleeves for you using the same fabric as the dress. We will leave the cuffs slightly wider to make it easier for you to have them tailored into gloves later. We will also add extra crystals as decoration. What do you think?

mceclip1

And yes, we will do our best to share the production process with you every step of the way. Please rest assured!

(long sleeves for reference, but will be in beading fabric, not lace.)

avatar - Nya_mavis

I’d like to go with the $40 option to make long sleeves using the same fabric as the dress. I’d also love for the lower part near the wrist/hand to have a little extra fabric or flair, so the tailor has enough to work with later. Including the added crystals, this plan sounds perfect to me.

Since these will be considered “sleeves,” do you need any additional measurements from me?

Thank you again. I’m super excited to see the progress photos!

avatar - Shirley

Ok, we will use this fabric to make the sleeves for you. Please remember to add the sleeves to your cart and complete the payment. To ensure a perfect fit, we will need the following measurements:

We accept both standard and custom sizes. If you choose a standard size, please refer to our size chart. If you choose a custom size, please refer to our measuring guide and provide the following data.

  • Wrist
  • Arm Circumference
  • Sleeve Length
avatar - Nya_mavis

Wrist- 6 1/3 in
Arm Circumference- 10 1/2in
Sleeve Length- 25in

Also, just so I’m aware, could you let me know your time zone and typical business hours? I want to make sure I’m messaging at a good time. Thank you!

avatar - Shirley

mceclip0

Thank you for the measurements. Could you please clarify if the length provided is from the shoulder to the wrist? Or is it the specific sleeve length you would like?

Please don't worry about the response time. Once we receive your message, we will get back to you as quickly as possible during our business hours. For your reference, it is currently 8:45 AM here.😊

do i need to pay now?

avatar - Shirley

Yes, dear:)

avatar - Nya_mavis

i did 🙂

avatar - Shirley

Thank you!

avatar - Nya_mavis

IMG_8138

would having something like this in the corset make me look more snatched?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

We will add invisible boning to provide more support and structure, just like shown in the picture below.

mceclip0

avatar - Nya_mavis

so the added ribbon isn't needed?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip0

Is the ribbon you mentioned the ones marked in blue? Every dressmaker has their own unique techniques; we are crafting the corset bodice based on our professional experience to ensure the best result:)

avatar - Nya_mavis

yes, the designer I screenshot it said it gives a more snatched look when added to a corset.if you believe it will not benefit the outcome of the dress feel free to exclude it.

avatar - Shirley

I understand. I believe our craftsmanship is different; we add the boning inside the bodice, which provides the same level of support and structure:)

avatar - Nya_mavis

okay

avatar - Shirley

mceclip0

Regarding the crystals on the gloves, should we sew them on following the white areas I marked? Alternatively, we can provide you with some loose crystals separately. This way, you can add them exactly where you'd like once the gloves are finished. What do you think?

avatar - Nya_mavis

IMG_8189

Since the gloves will be made from the same beaded fabric as the dress, I’d love the crystals to be scattered organically with a slight dripping effect like my inspo. I think having your team sew them on would look best. Dose that sound like a good idea to you?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip0

Do you happen to have any clearer photos of this glove? Please keep in mind that at the $40 price point, we can't guarantee an exact 1:1 replica. We will, however, do our best to add as much crystals detail as the budget allows.

avatar - Nya_mavis

this is the only other photo i could find, I’d like the gloves to be made from the same beaded fabric as the dress, just with added crystals for a similar scattered, dripping effect as the photo. I understand it won’t be an exact replica, i don't want a replica. let me know if you understand what i'm trying to say. i'm sorry if in not making sense.IMG_8194

IMG_8193

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Please confirm that the sleeve length is from the armpit down to the fingertips. We will leave enough loose, bell-shaped space at the cuffs so you have room to form them into gloves.

Yes, the sleeves will be made from the same custom fabric as the dress. We believe the sleeves are already sparkly enough, so we plan to add just a small amount of fringe decoration similar to the last photo you sent—would that be okay? (Based on the current quote, we can only include a limited amount of hand-crafted detailing.)

mceclip0

avatar - Nya_mavis

914CC9EB B058 4431 BDA2 22A5CF8EF465

IMG_8204

Yes, the sleeve length from the armpit to the fingertips is correct, thank you for confirming. I’ve shared a sketch and a reference (the red carpet photo) to show where I’d like the sleeves to start which is higher under the arm.

Since the fabric is already sparkly, I’m happy to keep the embellishments light. However, I’d prefer no fringe and instead a subtle scattered, drippy crystal/diamond effect, if that works within the budget. I trust you can make it look cohesive and elegant.

avatar - Shirley

Thank you for providing the reference images for the sleeves. Ok, we will add some scattered crystals to decorate the sleeves as requested. 😊

avatar - Nya_mavis

Thank you Shirley, i don't mean to rush you or come across rude but when should i expect a progress photo of the dress?

avatar - Shirley

We expect to update you with progress photos around January 15th. I completely understand how you feel, but please understand our process: the factory needs time for fabric sourcing, creating the mock-up, cutting, and then sewing. We typically provide updates during the sewing stage once the dress starts taking shape.

avatar - Nya_mavis

okay, thank you

avatar - Shirley

You are welcome!

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hi! I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to check in and see if there are any updates or progress photos available for my dress when you have a moment. I’m really excited to see how everything is coming along. Thank you so much!

avatar - Shirley

Hi, I will check the production progress of your dress with the factory as soon as I’m back in the office next Monday:)

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hi! I also wanted to check in on the progress of my prom dress whenever you have a moment. If there are any updates or photos you’re able to share, I’d love to see them.

Thank you again for all the work you’re putting into this, I really appreciate it!

avatar - Shirley

We have checked the progress with our factory. The dress has already been cut and is now awaiting production. We expect to complete it and arrange shipment for you by February 14th. Thank you for your patience!

avatar - Nya_mavis

Thank you for checking with the factory and for the update on my prom dress, Shirley. I completely understand the production timeline. I just wanted to ask if it would be possible to see a photo of the dress once it’s completed? Seeing a picture will really help me confirm that everything looks the way we planned. I'll make sure to check back in on the 14 :)

avatar - Shirley

For all our dresses, our standard process is to share photos for your confirmation before arranging shipment.

Regarding your two orders—the gold one is currently in production and we expect to complete it this week. I apologize that it’s already Wednesday and not finished yet; I have followed up with the factory again to speed up the process for you.

Hello

Hope everything is going well. Your prom dress is currently in production. Regarding the crystals for the neckline, we are hand-dyeing them to match the dress, as this specific color is nearly impossible to find on the market. Consequently, there might be a slight color difference, but we have done our absolute best to achieve the closest match possible.

mceclip0

mceclip1

Regarding the sleeves: we are sorry to inform you that we have run out of the specific crystals used for the neckline. Would you agree to let us use the fringe beads to decorate the sleeves instead?

mceclip2

As our factory will be closing for a two-week Lunar New Year holiday starting next week, we are working hard to finish and ship your dress before the couriers stop operating. To ensure we can get it sent out in time, we would appreciate your prompt reply.

Shirley

Hope you are doing well! Since our factory will be on holiday starting next week, we are looking forward to your early reply regarding this dress. This will allow us to ship it out for you before February 13th.

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hi Shirley, thank you so much for the update, I really love the overall design and shape of the dress.

I did notice that the crystals at the top look slightly different in color from the rest of the dress, and I was hoping for a more monochrome, cohesive look (similar to the red reference dress and ai mock up). Right now, the variation between the top crystals, fringe, embroidery, and base fabric makes it feel a little cheap.

I’m also a little unsure about the fringe I can’t tell if it’s sequins or crystals. Would it be possible to get a close-up photo of the beading/fringe? I’m hoping for more of a crystal-style sparkle rather than a sequins, especially since this will guide how we style the gloves as well.

Thank you again and i'm sorry for my late reply

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Since we couldn't find rhinestones in the exact same color on the market, we had to hand-dye clear stones instead. Please understand that a slight color difference is unavoidable, though the dress still looks beautiful overall.

Would you prefer us to remove the rhinestone decoration from the neckline? If so, we can refund you the $50 difference. In that case, it will look simple and clean without extra embellishments, just like Figure 2. Also, I’ve taken a close-up photo of the fringe fabric—please check if you’d like these glitters added to the sleeves.

bead fringe

Shirley

avatar - Nya_mavis

Thank you for explaining. Before removing the rhinestones, could we try re-dyeing them slightly darker by mixing red, purple, and a touch of black so they blend more seamlessly with the dress? I’m hoping for a richer, deeper hot pink rather than a see through light pink. I’d also love an alternative neckline design using rhinestone crystal beading that softly fades into the fringe (like the pictures i've attached), so the bust still has movement and sparkle. I trust your styling judgment on which option would look best. The glitter fringe in the close up picture looks beautiful and I love the color and that would be perfect for the "gloves".

This is a dress we made previously. The silver beaded decorationwas purchased as a finished product; however, we are very sorry that the fuchsia color you requested is not available on the market. We sent the crystals to a professional dyeing facility, but slight color variations are unavoidable.

Redyeing and resewing would require a significant amount of time, and a second attempt still cannot guarantee a perfect color match. Since our factory starts its holiday next week and will not resume work until March, please understand that we are doing our best to replicate this design as an independent maker, not the original manufacturer.

mceclip0

mceclip1

We currently have two suggestions:

  • Proceed with the current production as it is.
  • Switch to the silver glitter decorations shown above.

What do you think? Looking forward to your reply.

Shirley

avatar - Nya_mavis

there is no other option? you have no fuchsia crystals or beading?

Hi Shirley, I understand the limitations, but I’d like to keep the dress hot pink and monochrome as originally discussed. I’m not comfortable switching to silver. I understand an exact match may not be possible, but it’s important that everything still reads clearly as hot pink overall. If adjusting the embellishment style (more hot-pink rhinestones, beading, or fringe) helps achieve this while staying on schedule, I’d prefer that option. I’ve been checking in asking for progress photos because I have a clear vision for this dress and want to be sure we stay aligned with what was originally planned. Please let me know what hot-pink alternatives you recommend.

avatar - Shirley

Hello dear

Please understand that at this stage, we can only modify the embellishments on the neckline but cannot change the actual shape of the neckline itself.

Decorations in this specific color are extremely rare on the market, but fortunately, I discovered this piece in a private workshop. It can be used to decorate the neckline—what do you think?

blobid0

Unfortunately, this shop is currently closed for the Lunar New Year holiday and will not begin shipping until February 24th. This means we will likely finish the dress and ship it to you in early March. Would this timeline work for you?

Looking forward to your prompt reply.

avatar - Nya_mavis

Before making a final decision or removing any existing embellishments, would it be possible to see a mock-up or placement photo of how this appliqué would look on the neckline? I’d love to better understand how full and cohesive the effect would be before proceeding. just in case can you make sure that the only fuchsia applicants you have? also can you let me know how much time I have to decide whether or not to keep the current style or change it if I like the appliqué mock up image? Once I see that, I’ll be able to confirm whether to move forward with the change or keep the current design.

avatar - Shirley

Since the shops are currently closed for the holidays, we are unable to purchase the specific decorations at this time.

mceclip1

If you decide to go with this change, we will have to wait until late February to source the materials and begin the alterations. We want to make sure you are completely happy with the design before we invest in the fabrics. You can visualize the neckline effect by referring to this photo; the final look will be very similar.

blobid0

Use this beading tassel to decorate the sleeves, no problem!

mceclip0

avatar - Nya_mavis

IMG_8657

Would it also have this neck line?

avatar - Shirley

This is your dress neckline.

avatar - Nya_mavis

If possible, could you recommend the team try one more light recoloring or tinting method? mabye a small section of the crystals to test deepen the hot-pink tone. I understand there are limitations, but I wanted to ask before making a final decision.

If that’s not possible, I’m okay proceeding with the dress as it is but would it be possible to include some extra matching crystals with the dress? That way I can carefully test color adjustments myself if needed without affecting the finished gown. Please let me know what you think.

avatar - Shirley

Hello

I’m very sorry, but all modification methods would require a significant amount of time and waiting. We suggest keeping the current style and letting us arrange the shipment for you next week. This way, you can ensure that you receive the dress before March.

If you need some clear crystals, you can try dyeing them yourself once you receive the package. We would be happy to include some for you free of charge as a gift.

Best regards

Shirley

If we wait for the fabric shops to reopen after the holiday to make adjustments, the timeline will be extremely tight. There is also a significant risk because the supplier for this specific decoration hasn't replied yet, and we cannot guarantee it's still in stock.

To ensure you get the dress on time, we suggest keeping the current style. If you are not satisfied with the neckline upon arrival, we will provide a $50 refund as compensation. This way, you avoid the risk of further delays.

mceclip0

If you are willing to wait, we believe using this specific decoration for the neckline will result in a much more natural look, as the color is a near-perfect match for your dress. The supplier is expected to reopen on February 24th, meaning we should receive the materials by the end of February. We will complete the modifications and ship it immediately after, ensuring you receive the dress well before your wear date.

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hi Shirley, thank you for explaining everything so clearly. I agree that it’s best to keep the current style and proceed with shipment in the next 1-2.5 weeks so I can receive the dress on time.

I appreciate your offer to include extra clear crystals and if my plan to color the crystal falls through I'll let you know for the $50 refund. Thank you again for all your help ☺️

avatar - Shirley

Thank you for your understanding. We will arrange to ship your order next week, as it is the final shipping window available. We will send you photos for confirmation before we ship it out. 😋

Also, we would like to include some clear crystals as a gift for you. Regarding the dyeing, please understand that it is a very difficult technical process, but we have done our best. We truly hope you will be happy with how the dress turns out! Yes, if you are still not satisfied with the neckline, we will offer you a $50 refund as compensation.

To be honest, this specific style has been a huge technical challenge for us as well, but we have put in our best effort. 😋.

Hello

We have completed your dress, and it is truly beautiful! We have taken videos and photos for your final confirmation.

Regarding the crystals, please understand our recommendation to keep the current design for reasons:

1, Even if we sent you transparent crystals, it would be very difficult for you to dye them to a perfectly matching color.

2, Due to the Chinese New Year holiday, the shops are closed, so we are unable to purchase the transparent crystals.

3, The crystal decoration on the neckline requires a professionaldress maker with specialized equipment. I believe it is very difficult for an individual to achieve the exact same effect as shown in the picture manually.

The current color difference is extremely minimal and almost negligible. We have also added the same crystal decoration to the sleeves. However, if you still wish to have fringes, we will include some as a gift for you.

Please note that we intentionally made the sleeves slightly longer to allow for easy alterations on your end. We hope to arrange the shipment for you by this Thursday. Looking forward to your confirmation!

Best regards

Shirley

Tomorrow will be the final shipping day before our factory closes for the holiday. We sincerely hope you can confirm your order and settle the balance within the next 24 hours. This will allow us to arrange shipment for you before the break. Or we won't be able to ship your order until the end of February.

We have just received an update from our courier: tomorrow is the absolute final day for shipments before the holiday break.

To ensure your order is sent out, we need you to confirm the lace detailing and settle the remaining balance within the next 24 hours.

If confirmed within 24 hours: We can secure a spot in tomorrow’s final shipment.
If delayed: We will unfortunately have to wait until our team returns from the holiday break on February 25th to arrange delivery.
We truly want to get this dress to you as soon as possible, so please let us know your decision immediately.

Thank you for your understanding!

avatar - Nya_mavis

Hi Shirley, Thank you for the photos and videos. The dress looks beautiful, and the gloves are well made.

I just want to clarify one detail: I was hoping the gloves would be see-through/transparent with the same crystal application, rather than opaque like the rest of the dress. this was in the inspo i sent. Everything else looks great. Please let me know if you can fix this.

the crystal dripping on the gloves is not the same fringe as the dress fringe it is the same crystal style used on the top of the dress, which is exactly what I wanted for the gloves.

IMG_8189

I want to be honest and transparent. I’m feeling frustrated because I repeatedly asked for update photos during the process, but many details were only shown after the dress has been completed. If I had seen the gloves, crystals, corset, and dyeing process earlier, several adjustments could have been made in a timely way. Instead, I was often asked to wait, and by the time photos were shared, the work was already finalized, which limited what could be changed. I understand custom work is complex, but as a client collaborating on a design, it’s disappointing not to be able to give feedback while elements are still in progress. I believe this back-and-forth could have been avoided with earlier updates, as I had requested.

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Since our in-house team is small, we cannot guarantee updates at every single step; with prom season in full swing, checking in at every interval would significantly delay production. Since there was no specific instruction regarding the sleeve lining, we proceeded with adding it by default. You can have a tailor remove the lining when making the gloves, and we will refund you 50% of the sleeve cost as compensation.

As today is our final shipping day before the holiday, we look forward to your prompt confirmation. Alternatively, we can wait until the factory resumes work and prioritize modifying the sleeves for you then. Waiting for your reply.

Thank you so much for explaining, I understand your team is very busy during prom season. I wasn’t asking for updates at every step, just confirmation on important design details like the gloves. Based on the references and edited images I shared, my intention was for the gloves to be see-through. Since this wasn’t confirmed earlier, I’m hoping there may still be a way to adjust the lining on your end rather than requiring an outside tailor. Tailoring costs add up quickly, and paying close to $500 for a dress that then needs multiple alterations in a very short time frame feels concerning to me. If the crystals can’t be dyed the gloves can’t be made, i truly just want the gloves to reflect my original vision. Please help me with the best solution you can offer this is my last prom so it matters a lot to me. Thank you again for your understanding

If adjusting the lining on your end isn’t possible at this stage, would it be possible to send some matching sheer/see-through fabric, so the lining can be corrected locally? This would help avoid significant tailoring costs and time pressure

Hello

mceclip0

We have added the same crystals to the sleeves as those on the neckline. Aside from removing the lining on the sleeves, do you have any other requests?

Please note that the factory is currently closed for the holidays, so we can only proceed with modifications once they resume work. Additionally, do you still need the clear crystals, or would you prefer to wait until we are back to replace them with this style for the neckline decoration? We sincerely hope you have a perfect prom.

I’m truly so grateful that you’re able to remove the lining from the gloves, that genuinely makes me so happy, and I really appreciate you working with me. I’m excited to see everything.

After thinking it over, I would like to keep the crystals as they are on both the neckline and the gloves. I’m going for a fully monochrome fuchsia look and plan to carefully paint the crystals myself to match perfectly. I would still like to receive extra crystals for this reason.

The only reason I’m not choosing the alternative appliqué is because they include silver, which would break the monochrome look. If there were an option that was completely fuchsia without silver, I would consider it but for now, I prefer to keep the original crystals. thank you again for fixing this for me.

I will also include a photo of the crystal fringe I originally expected to be dripping from the gloves for reference.

Ok:)Once our dressmaker returns to work, I will have them alter the sleeves and remove the lining for you. Regarding the crystals on the sleeves and neckline, we strongly suggest keeping them. To the naked eye, the color difference is minimal, and the overall dress looks truly stunning.

How many clear crystals would you need? Are you looking for just a small amount to test the dyeing, or enough to cover an area as large as the neckline?

Thank you so much for your reassurance. I truly appreciate your guidance and your attention to detail, it makes me feel much more confident about everything. i fell like including 10 - 15 crystals in the package will work for test dyeing. You removing the lining on the sleeves means so much to me that I'm ok if you cannot add the fringe crystals (ones in the photos) to the gloves. I would love it if you could change that because i have considered what that small change could make the gloves look like. thank you again

We are happy to include 10 to 15 clear crystals as a gift. Also, it is no problem to remove the lining from the sleeves and add some fringe decorations. Thank you for your support and cooperation! Our factory will begin the modifications for you as soon as we resume work.

Hey Shirley,

I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to say again how grateful I am that you’re able to remove the lining and include the extra crystals for me, I truly appreciate it. Since it’s now the 24th and the factory should be resuming work tomorrow, I was wondering if there are any updates on the sleeve modifications. Could you also confirm that everything is still on track to be completed and shipped on time? I’m very excited and looking forward to it. ☺️

do you think my dress will come in time?

i'm scared

hi! i’m getting a little worried about the shipping timeline for my dress. my prom is in one week, and i still need time for the dress to arrive so i can dye the crystals, match the gloves, and finish the rest of my prom preparations.

i noticed the tracking says it has been picked up but not shipped yet, so i wanted to ask if you could please confirm the current status of my order and when it will actually be in transit.

if needed, i’m completely willing to pay for express shipping or any faster shipping option to make sure it arrives in time. i’ve already paid for my hair, makeup, nails, shoes, and photographer for prom, so i’m really hoping the dress can arrive before then.

thank you so much and i appreciate any update you can give me.

hello?
