My Elf Queen Dream Dress
I am absolutely in love with my dress! It is even more beautiful in person and truly makes me feel like an elf queen. The layered ruffles are so light and flowy, while the green vines add the perfect magical woodland touch. The fit is wonderful, and I love that the off-the-shoulder straps are removable. The hidden music note lace is such a meaningful and special detail. Thank you to Shirley and the entire Lunss team for being so patient and bringing my vision to life. I like the ruffles on this dress. I like the way they are more uneven and balanced across the skirt, as compared to the ruffles in the first picture I sent.
I like the sleeves on this dress. I like the shape and placement of both the shoulder straps and the off-the-shoulder sleeves. I do not like the shape of the draping fabric on the sleeves. I would prefer either no draping fabric, or shorter draping fabric (elbow length or shorter). If it wouldn't look good, then I rather no draping fabric at all.

Hi Shirley, thank you so much! I was able to generate this image that better reflects what I am looking for. I want the skirt to be quite poofy, with lots of light, flowy layers of ruffles. I want the vines to peek out from behind the ruffles here and there.
I like the leaf lace you linked (https://oneyard.shop/green-embroidery-leaf-vine-lace-patch-2045.html), but I'm concerned they will be too big. What do you think? Do you think they are a good size to recreate the idea of the image above, or will they be too bulky?
For the off-the-shoulder sleeves, I think I prefer the light tulle ones in the image above, instead of the solid fabric ones I originally requested. Is it possible for the off-the-shoulder sleeves to be removable?
Yes tulle is good, if you think that is the best fabric choice. I mainly want it to be light and flowy. Whatever you think is best.
Is it possible to add a hidden layer of this fabric under the skirt of the dress (my fiance is a musician!): https://oneyard.shop/music-note-embroidery-soft-mesh-fabric-2352.html I don't want it to be visible. It doesn't have to be a full layer of it, but it would be sweet to have at least a little piece of it hidden in the dress somewhere.

For the music note lace trim, I would like it to be underneath / inside the skirt, if that's possible. I prefer for it to not be visible, unless you pull up the skirt and look for it. I want there to be enough so I can find it. Maybe all along the edge of one layer or of the lining? I'm not sure what would work best.

Our default wedding dress color is off-white, which is very close to light ivory. It's a very natural shade of white. The color of most wedding dresses you see here in our store is what we call off-white (or 'natural white').

Regarding the main fabric for this dress, our tailor suggests changing it to an organza fabric. Chiffon may not achieve the same puffy effect as seen in the picture.

Hi, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I went to a fabric store to feel the different fabrics. I agree that organza has more body and will hold the ruffles better than chiffon will. I'm concerned about the scratchy texture of organza. The dress will be lined, right? So I won't feel the organza on my torso or legs?
I'm worried I will find it uncomfortable where my arms rub on the dress. Is silk organza an option, would you recommend it?

Will there be a lining under the organza? I'm picturing the white music note lace trim along the bottom of the lining. I'm not sure where else it could go. Maybe underneath a few of the ruffles? Do you have any recommendations?
I hope there will be a lining, as I think the organza would be very uncomfortable directly on my legs.
I don't need a lot of the lace trim, I just want enough of the lace trim hidden in a spot so I can surprise my fiance with that little special detail.

Yes, please rest assured that all of our dresses include a lining by default.
When the dress is being sewn, I will have the tailor hide a few musical note lace pieces within the ruffles. This way, you can easily find them and surprise your husband.😋

Please take a look at the completed skirt.
Once the dress is complete, we can add a petticoat to increase the volume, and we will take final photos for your confirmation.
Regarding the musical note lace you want to add, our tailor suggests sewing a single border of it along the hemline, underneath the bottom layer of the ruffle. This way, the lace will be semi-transparent and almost hidden. If you want it to be visible, you can simply lift the top ruffle layer.
What do you think of this suggestion?
If you want the lace to be completely invisible, we can only add it to the lining on the reverse side of the skirt. You would then have to turn the lining inside out to reveal the lace. Adding it directly between the ruffles is difficult.
We strongly recommend adding it to the hemline as suggested before, allowing it to be in a semi-transparent state.

Thank you for this exciting update!!! I am concerned there are too many ruffles up near the waistline. In the inspiration photo, there are less ruffles near the waistline and then the ruffles gradually increase as you get lower down the skirt.

Seeing the vines on the dress, the color looks really dark, almost like black stripes 🫣. The dress is brighter and the vines are darker than in the inspiration photo, which makes it too high contrast. I want soft, delicate, elegant. Maybe we try dying more vines a lighter color?
Also, I'm not sure the height of your mannequin, but I just want to make sure it will be floor length on me, touching the floor and dragging a bit, like in the inspiration photo. You can see what I mean about the vines being very dark and the length of the dress (dragging a bit on the floor) when you compare both photos:

Hi Shirley, when you sent the vines for confirmation I had asked for another photo because it was hard to see the color. You couldn't send me another photo, so I trusted the color would be similar to the inspiration photo, but it is much darker. I don't mind paying more if I have to, I'm really worried I won't like the dress at all with the vines that dark. Is it possible to at least try dying a new batch of vines a bit of a lighter shade and comparing which is better before stitching them on?
