Hello 😊

I would like to have a wedding dress made.
I’m envisioning an A-line gown with a structured, form-fitting upper part and a soft sweetheart neckline.
In the center, I’d like delicate appliqués that extend slightly downward — I’m still deciding between lace or a version with pearls or subtle sparkle, and I’d love your advice on what would look and work best.

The skirt should fall softly and fade from black into a deep blood-red (ombre effect).
I’d like to have removable black straps and removable off-shoulder tulle sleeves, so I can switch up the look.
The back should have a lace-up closure for an adjustable fit.
If possible, I’d love to include side pockets for small essentials.

It’s important to me that the dress looks seamless and cohesive — no harsh transition between the upper part and the skirt.
The reference images I’m sending were created with AI to match my vision exactly, so I understand that some details might not be fully achievable and I’m open to your professional suggestions.

My budget is around $650–700. I’m not looking for luxury fabrics or heavy embellishment. I just want it to be well made and detailed like in my references.
If it ends up being slightly higher due to necessary work or materials, that’s okay.

Thank you so much in advance! 💍🖤
Best regards,
Michaela

Hello Michaela

Thank you for choosing LUNSS for your high-end customization. This is Shirley at your service. It's my pleasure to assist you in customizing your Black-Red Ombre Dress. 😊

Based on your description, we would like to recommend a wedding dress we made previously. We can certainly add detachable shoulder straps to this design for you. Could you please confirm if you want the detachable straps to be made of tulle?

mceclip0

Also, you'd like to add thin straps? A lace-up back is no problem.

mceclip1

These are photos for your reference.

mceclip2

mceclip3

This dress was originally made using black and red ombre mesh fabric, with beaded lace appliqués added to the bodice that fade down below the waist. Do you like this design, or would you prefer to only add a small amount of lace to the upper bodice?

The price for this dress is $550–$650 USD. We look forward to working with you soon!

Best regards

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you so much for your message and for the reference photos!

I’ve actually seen and considered this dress before — it’s very beautiful, but personally a bit too “busy” for my taste.

For my version, I’d prefer a simpler and more elegant look, with lace appliqués only around the neckline/decolletage area, not extending down to the waist.

If possible, I’d love for both the thin shoulder straps and the off-shoulder straps to be made of tulle, as I think that would create a nice, cohesive, and understated overall look.

And if it’s also possible, I’d like both types of straps to be detachable.

Also, could you please let me know if the dress in the photos looks that puffy on its own, or if it’s shown with a petticoat or hoop skirt underneath?

I also have a few questions about the lace-up back:

– How far down does the lacing usually go — does it stop at the waist, or continue into the skirt?

– Is it technically necessary for it to extend into the skirt area for the best fit?

– And what would you recommend overall for the lace-up design, especially if someone might lose or gain a bit of weight before the wedding — would you suggest keeping the lacing only to the waist or letting it go further down?

Thank you again for your help! 💍🖤

And I’m sorry for replying a bit late — I really appreciate your patience!

By the way, the chat is now showing up in German for me — would you prefer that I continue writing in English or in German? 😊Also, just so you know, I’m writing my messages with the help of ChatGPT because my English isn’t the best 😅

Best regards,

Michaela

Oh, I forgot to mention one more thing! 🙈

For the skirt, I’d like it to be made only with the black-to-red ombré fabric — without any lace, glitter, or embellishments.

I’d prefer the focus to stay on the color gradient itself. 🖤❤️

Thank you so much!

I also wanted to ask about the fabric used for the dress in the reference photos —

it looks a bit shiny or shimmering in the pictures. Is that just because of the lighting, or is the actual fabric slightly glossy as well?

I’d prefer a more matte look, if possible.

I’m really sorry if I’m asking a lot of questions or causing extra work. Thank you so much for your patience and kindness!

Hello

Thank you for your reply. Thank you for replying to me in English; yes, it makes it easier for me to read.

I will explain and answer the few questions you have.😊

1, For a simpler and more elegant look, with lace appliqués only around the neckline/decolletage area.

mceclip1

No problem! I tried to make a sketch by AI. Do you like it?

2, Both the thin shoulder straps and the off-shoulder straps are to be made of tulle and removable.

3, We guarantee the fullness (or volume) of this dress. If it's not enough, we will include a free petticoat for you.

4, Regarding the back lacing (or tie-up), we typically make it go down to the hip or waist position, and then use an invisible zipper below the waist. We do not recommend extending the lacing to the hem. Because the hip area is already loose enough, there will not be any issue with it being too loose or too tight; only the portion above the waist needs adjustment.

mceclip0

5, https://oneyard.shop/red-to-black-ombre-tulle-fabric-405.html

This is the fabric we use to make this dress. It is a matte ( non-shiny) finish. Please rest assured.

It's okay to make the skirt without any glitter embellishment or lace.

6, Would you like the skirt to be floor-length? No train, correct?

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you so much for your detailed reply and for taking the time to explain everything so clearly!

I absolutely love how the dress looks now — it’s exactly what I was dreaming of, and I’m so excited! 🥹

The solution with the lace-up back ending at the waist and the hidden zipper below sounds perfect, and the fabric is just beautiful. I’m so happy it has a matte finish!

For the length, I’d like the skirt to be floor-length without a train.

Thank you again for all your effort, patience, and kindness. I truly appreciate how beautifully you’re bringing my dream dress to life. 🩷

Best regards,

Michaela

Hello

Thanks for the reply. We're looking forward to making your dream dress a reality!

https://oneyard.shop/exquisite-beaded-floral-lace-appliques-2328.html

We propose using the attached lace appliqué for the neckline. Does this work for you?

When will you place your order and provide us with your measurements?😊

Kind regards

Shirley

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you so much for your message!

The lace appliqué you suggested is absolutely beautiful. I really like it,

it fits perfectly with the style of the dress. 🖤

I’m so sorry my last message didn’t go through earlier!

I was away on vacation for the past two weeks,

so I couldn’t take my measurements yet. 😅

I’ll probably provide them sometime next week once I’m back home and settled.

Before I do that, I just wanted to ask will the dress have built-in cups or inner support in the bodice,

so that I don’t need to wear a bra underneath?

I just want to make sure I measure everything correctly.

Thank you again for your patience and for all the effort you’re putting into my dress —

I really appreciate it! 💕

Best regards,

Michaela

I’m sorry this only came to my mind now — I really don’t want to cause any inconvenience. 😅

I just have a small question regarding the “mid-shoulder to bust point” measurement.

When I took my measurements, I was wearing a very soft bralette with little support, so my bust was sitting lower than it will once the built-in cups of the dress provide proper support.

Could this affect that specific measurement?

Would it be better if I take this measurement again while wearing a bra that provides more support, so that the bust is closer to the position it will be in the dress later?

I just want to make sure the bust point will be perfectly placed in the bodice. 😊

Thank you so much for your help! 💕

Hello

Thank you for your attention to detail. I confirmed with the tailor, and yes, wearing a different bra can affect the bust height. Could you please wear a more supportive or structured bra, remeasure the “mid-shoulder to bust point”, and send it to us? Thank you.

Also, please double-check if your bust and under bust measurements are correct. Thank you.

Best regards

Shirlery

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you again for your help and quick reply!

I re-measured everything while wearing a more supportive bra to ensure accurate results.

Here are the updated final measurements:

• Bust (fullest part): 95 cm

• Under Bust: 84 cm

• Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point: 27 cm

I’m sorry for the extra effort — I just want to make sure the bodice fits perfectly. 😅

Thank you so much for your patience and support! 💕

Best regards,

Michaela

You are most welcome; this is part of our service. We will send you photos for confirmation once the lace addition step is complete.

We wish you a pleasant day!😊

I have a small question regarding the shipping method.

Would it be possible to upgrade my order to express shipping later, once the dress is finished?

I’m just a bit worried that, with the longer shipping route to Switzerland, the delivery might arrive in mid or late December — and we’ll be visiting my fiancé’s family in Germany around that time. 😅

If an express option is available, I’d be very happy to cover the difference in cost.

Thank you so much for your help! 💕

Best regards,

Michaela

avatar - Shirley

Hello dear

Please don't worry. We will contact you once the dress is complete. At that time, if you require expedited service, it is completely possible; it will just require an additional payment of $25 USD. Alternatively, we can arrange to ship the dress to you after you return to your country; the shipping time is flexible.

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley

Thank you so much. I would prefer to use express shipping, because I honestly can't wait to receive the dress 🙊🥺. So once the dress is finished, please go ahead and send it with the express option - the extra $25 is completely fine for me.

Thank you again for all your help! Best regards,

Michaela

avatar - Shirley

Ok!We have set up the shipping fee for you. You can now add it to your cart and proceed to payment.😊

Okay, we received it:)

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley 😊

I hope you’re doing well!

I have one more small question about the red-to-black ombré tulle.

While browsing the customer reviews on your website, I found two dresses made with the same fabric:

– one worn by a couple (the girl with the black top and red ombré skirt),

– and one from the “Fantasy Ball Gown” review.

In those photos, the ombré looks quite different from each other — one is darker and more blended, while the other has a much brighter and more abrupt transition. Because of this, I became a little unsure.

For my dress, I would really prefer the ombré to look more like the reference photo you originally sent me — deeper, darker, with more black overall and the red starting lower toward the hem (like in the picture I attached below). That softer, lower transition is exactly what I love.

296700 mceclip0

So I just wanted to check:

– Will my dress have the darker, deeper ombré with the gradual transition, like your original sample photo?

– And will the red begin lower on the skirt, rather than high up?

If the natural red tone is very bright, would it be possible to add an extra layer of black tulle on top to slightly darken and soften the shade?

I’m very sorry if this causes any inconvenience, especially if you have already started working on the skirt. 😣

Thank you so much for your patience and kindness — I appreciate it a lot! 💕

Yes, different customers have different requirements for ombré dresses. The dress I showed you before is image #2 from the pictures below. Is this the effect you want, right? The dress is mostly black with just some red gradient (ombré) at the bottom.

mceclip0

I look forward to your reply.😊

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley

Thank you so much for the clarification! Yes, I definitely want the ombré effect to be mostly black with the red only at the bottom.

If possible, I would love the red part to start a bit lower - similar to our inspiration Al picture, where the red begins slightly below knee height. I really like when the upper part of the skirt stays mostly black.

Also, if it's possible, could you add one extra layer of soft black tulle on top of the skirt? This would make the red look a little darker and create an even smoother ombré transition. I prefer a deeper, darke one overall.

I'm very sorry if this causes any inconvenience. Thank you so much! 🩷

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip0

Because the fabric width is fixed, the maximum reduction we can achieve in the red area will result in the lens effect shown in this photo. However, I have discussed it with the tailor, and we will add an extra layer of black netting on the outer layer for you, so please don't worry.

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you so much for checking with the tailor and explaining everything so clearly.

The example you showed looks perfect to me — and I truly appreciate that you will add an extra layer of black tulle to darken the red and smooth the ombré transition. That really helps me feel reassured, so thank you very much.

I’m very grateful for your effort and attention to detail.

Everything is fine for me, and I’m excited to see the next steps! 🙊🩷

Hello Shirley

Thank you so much!

Everything looks absolutely beautiful - even better than I imagined 🥺

I'm really happy with how it's turning out so far.

Thank you for your amazing work!

avatar - Shirley

You are welcome:)

Hi

I'm glad to tell you that your dress is complete. It's so stunning!

I have uploaded the video and photos of your dress for your preview and approval. Kindly check them out. 😊

We didn't add the black mesh to the outermost layer. We conducted a trial and found that doing so would drastically change the overall aesthetic of the dress, making it look unusual and less appealing than its current appearance. We hope you understand our professional decision. We await your approval.

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley

Thank you so much for the photos and videos - the dress looks very beautiful! ☺️🩷 I just have a small question:

In the pictures and videos, is the skirt shown with a petticoat/hoop skirt underneath, or is this the natural volume of the dress by itself?

Thank you very much!

avatar - Shirley

Thank you for approving the order. Yes, the skirt's puffiness is sufficient on its own. We added an A-line petticoat for the photoshoot, which we will include as a gift when we ship your order.🥰🌹

avatar - M.Pernet

Hello Shirley 😊

Thank you so much for the explanation — that makes perfect sense!

I really appreciate that you included the A-line petticoat as a gift, that’s very kind of you. 🥰🌹

Thank you again for all your hard work!

avatar - Shirley

You're welcome! It's our pleasure to work with you. We would be honored if you could share your photos with us and give us a positive review once you are satisfied with the dress. We anticipate providing you with the tracking number within the next 24 hours.😊
