Beautiful gown

The gown is beautiful with so much detail. The rhinestones on the black skirt look like stars floating. I changed it to a basque waist, a deeper sweetheart neckline, added straps, and completely changed the shoulders and cape. Lunss was really easy to work with in the design phase and promptly replied when I wanted a production update, even sending some videos of them working on it. The quality was wonderful and I could tell they hand sewed all of the applique and rhinestones. I wore it to a villains ball near Halloween, which is why I'm wearing fire makeup. I'll wear it many other places. I did get a couple of minor alterations done once I received it. I think I measured wrong. I got the corset back. The lacing goes all the way down to my butt, which gives the bodice a perfect fit.. Next time I'd get a side zipper with a corset back so you don't have to unlace the whole thing to get it off. The corset is wonderfully done and so secure, it just takes a long time. I would definitely order from Lunss again.

I love your red and black gown above.I would change:

1. No train.
2. The red shows a little more on the skirt. Like maybe 2 more inches up.
3. I'd like no cape. Instead of the cape, I'd like cape sleeves to the floor with shoulders like the two examples I showed. They could be black sequins, velvet, or metallic fabric. They don't need to have any appliques. Do these changes count as changes included with the design, or does a custom fee apply?

4. I would like the dress to be less expensive if possible. Are there things that could be removed or done differently to keep the cost down?

5. What about tarrifs from China to the U.S.? Is that included in the dress cost? Because that adds to the dress cost.

6. How many layers of tulle do you use on this dress?

Hello

Thank you for choosing LUNSS for your high-end customization. This is Shirley at your service. It's my pleasure to assist you in customizing your dream dress.

Based on our black and red ombre dress, you'd like to make some changes:

1, The dress has no train.

2, The red shows a little more on the skirt. Like maybe 2 more inches up. Okay.

https://oneyard.shop/red-to-black-ombre-tulle-fabric-405.html

3, No cape, but add cape sleeves as the picture 7 or 8.

  • Which color do you prefer for the cap sleeves?
  • We recommend sequin & tulle for the cape, or lame with tulle, what do you think?
  • Do you want the sleeves to be floor-length?
  • Zipper or lace-up back?

4, Yes, different designs have different prices.

  • Do you want to keep the lace appliqué on the bodice?
  • Also, for the skirt, do you want it with the fullness we made before, or just a simple A-line like in picture 7?

5, Rest assured, our partnered express shipping to the US includes customs duties. This means you won't have to pay any additional customs fees.

6,Just tell us the fullness you'd like for the skirt, and our dressmaker will customize it according to your request.

Once we receive your reply, we'll provide you with a quote.

Best regards

  1. I'd like the drag on the ground behind the skirt. It should go to the ground, but I don't want much drag.
  2. I found this photo, and this is about how much red I'd like to show.1000000495
  3. I would like the shoulder mantle to be dark red lame #18, with black tulle sleeves that go to the ground.
  4. I'd like a lace up corset back. And I want to make sure it has a fully boned corset. I'm large and need lots of support.
  5. I'd like to keep the applique on the bodice. It's beautiful.
  6. I'd like the skirt to be a little fuller than the A line examples, but not as full as the original. I want to be able to walk around, fit in a chair and not bother people.
  7. I'd like the neckline changed. I need straps for support of my chest. I was thinking a black tulle halter top with a deep V. How do you think that will look? Any other suggestions for adding attractive straps that work with the shoulder mantle.? I welcome any suggestions here. Here's an example of the neckline I was thinking of, in a different fabric.
  8. 1000000497

I'd really like ideas of any necklines with straps that you would suggest. I don't want spaghetti straps. It must be something thicker to provide support.

I would like to show cleavage or the tops of my bust out of the top of the corset.

If the straps come from the outside of the bust, near the armpit, they may not show up when I'm wearing the shoulder mantle. Here are two examples. I want thicker straps than what is on the black and white dress.

1000000499

Here's the other example. I'd like wider straps than these, but the placement may work.

I'm open to suggestions about what fabric any strap options should be made out of.should be made out of.

Hello

mceclip0

Thank you for your prompt reply.

1, Floor-length with sweep train, no long train, no problem!

2, Much red on the skirt like the dress we made before, ok!

3, Dark red lame #18 and black tulle for the cape veil okay! Please confirm the veil has no any gold beading.

mceclip1

4, Lace-up back and corset bodice will come with invisible boning, noted!

5, The bodice comes with lace appliqué, okay!

6, mceclip2

Do you think this skirt is too puffy and needs some tulle underneath removed?

7 & 8. Because we've added boning to the corset, it already provides good support. I don't think you need to change to a halter neckline.

Just thickening the straps should be enough, and the straps will be covered by the cap veil. We suggest using a lining fabric overlaid with tulle for the straps, as it would match the dress better. What do you think about 1-inch wide straps?

Price

I have set the price of this custom dress.

Please refer to our measuring guide to ensure accurate measurements. Thank you! . 😊

Hi. I did have a few more questions.

I'm losing weight. How long can you hold a custom item before I have to give measurements? Or do I need to have to proceed right now? Is it possible to make a dress to fit with corset back open, so that it can close periodically as I lose weight?

Does the corset back have a modesty panel? And do you use plastic or metal boning? If metal, is it the spiral flexible metal boning?

3. No chains needed

4. I want to confirm that it's not just lace applique. It's lace and beading, like your original dress. That lace and beading applique should also be on skirt like the original dress, and the skirt should include some rhinestones like the original.

6. The skirt is too puffy. It should be a very full a-line. I'd like the hem circumference to allow for a tulle undershirt if I want to add one at some point on my own.

I have two requests: Could the sweetheart neckline be more pronounced with more of a V, like in the sample images (like the green or champagne dresses.

Also, could this dress have a slight basque waist, like this picture? Would that work with the dress?

1000000524

avatar - Shirley

Hello

If you are currently losing weight, we have already extended the validity of your custom order until 2026. You can choose to place your order at any time, or place it now and submit your measurements in a few months. Don't worry, the lace-up back is adjustable.

Does the corset back have a modesty panel? And do you use plastic or metal boning? If metal, is it the spiral flexible metal boning?

Yes, with the panel, the bones are plastic.

3. No chains needed, okay!

4, Okay

6, Okay, we will make the skirt less puffy.

Could the sweetheart neckline be more pronounced with more of a V, like in the sample images (like the green or champagne dresses.

Also, could this dress have a slight basque waist, like this picture? Would that work with the dress?

Yes, make a more V sweetheart neckline, no problem!

mceclip0

A basque waist, ok!

😊

If I provided measurements and paid the day you're seeing this, could I have a dress in hand for an October 17, 2025 event? An earlier event popped up I'd like to wear it to, but I can't edit the event date on this request.

It lists 42 days for the dress. Are those counting only business days or does it include weekends? And how many days is shipping to Orlando, Florida in the U.S.?

Also, if I order a mockup dress for fit, will that add time to the production time? If yes, how much time? And when I return the mockup dress, do I have to pay return shipping?

I have one change for the dress, I'd like the shoulders to be black lame, not dark red lame.

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip1

  • Make the shoulder to be black lame and with black tulle sleeves, no problem!
  • If you place your order today, we estimate you'll receive the dress by the end of August. (No mock-up)
  • A mock-up is primarily used to check the fit. However, since your dress features a lace-up back, and if you provide us with accurate measurements, we believe a custom mock-up might not be necessary. Please note that you do not need to return the mock-up if one is made. Typically, it takes 3-4 weeks from the time you place your order until you receive it.

We accept both standard size and custom size. If you choose standard size, you can refer to our size chart. If you choose custom size, you can refer to our measuring guide, and please provide the following data.

  • Height(barefoot)
  • Back Shoulder Width
  • Bust(fullest portion)
  • Under Bust
  • Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point
  • Waist(smallest portion of your waist)
  • Hips(fullest portion of your butt)
  • Hollow to Floor(barefoot)
  • Shoe Height
  • Wrist
  • Arm Circumference
  • Armscye
  • Sleeve Length

I paid my down-payment. My event is October 18, 2025. It's a fantasy ball. I wanted to write out everything we've decided on for the dress. My measurements are at the end.

If possible, please provide some applique fabric that I could make into hair pieces.

Bodice:

1-2” straps in black tulle with a flesh colored lining. The straps should be set to the far edges of the dress so they don't show when the shoulder piece is on. Here's an example of the size and location:

1000000499

The sweetheart neckline should be a little more pronounced, with a deeper V to show a little cleavage.

Fully boned corset with a lace up corset back. I'm large, so I want the corset to provide support.

Privacy panel behind the corset

I am losing weight. Please make the dress so it fits my measurements with the corset open in the back. So as I lose weight I can tighten the corset.

Same black beaded applique from the original dress.

Basque waist

Skirt:

Same as the example dress.

A little more red at the bottom of the skirt.

A few more clear gems on the skirt.

The bodice applique should continue on the skirt, like your example dress.

Skirt should go fully to the floor with a 2” heel. No additional drop on the skirt is needed. (This is slightly different from what I said before).

The skirt should be fuller than an A line, but less full than a ballgown.

Shoulders:

No cape. But should have black tulle that goes all the way to the ground from each shoulder.

Please use a lot of tulle, like the last two sample pictures. pictures

No chains

Black lame shoulders that are shaped like these, including how they slightly curl up to look a little like armour:

1000000475

Measurements:

Height(barefoot) 68”

Back Shoulder Width 17.5”

Bust(fullest portion) 49.75”

Under Bust 39.75”

Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point 11.25”

Waist(smallest portion of your waist) 45.5”

Hips(fullest portion of your butt) 55.75”

Hollow to Floor(barefoot) 58.5”

Shoe Height 2”

Wrist 6.75”

Arm Circumference 15.5”

Armscye 20.5”

Sleeve Length 22.5”

Hello

Thanks for the down payment and measurements. I'll confirm the design details with you one more time. We'll arrange for the factory to start production accordingly as soon as possible.

1.

mceclip1

No problem! For the slightly deeper sweetheart neckline with tulle straps, we suggest a 1-inch width. We can make them from black tulle without any lining.

2. No problem! We can definitely do a lace-up back with a panel, and it will be adjustable.

3.

mceclip2

Basuque waist, noted!

4.

mceclip3

The skirt color will match as this picture and it will be a floor-length skirt with no train. The lace and sparkle embellishments on the skirt will remain exactly as per original design.

5.

mceclip4

mceclip5

We'll create the cape sleeves using black lamé and tulle. Please note, the solid lamé will have no embellishments or chains. The back design will also match the provided image, and the floor-length tulle sleeves are no problem at all.

6. We'll send you some black sequined lace appliqués to decorate the veil. No problem at all!

avatar - Shana

Yes! That's perfect!

I have questions about 2 measurements. For the bust measurement, I took it without compressing my breasts at all, in a good bra. So cups made to that size would be somewhat loose. Should I take that measurement a bit tighter, like I would like the dress to fit?

For Armscye, I took that up in my armpit and around the shoulder. But that would be to tight for me to get my arm through. Should it be the size I'd want an armhole to be, or firm against my armpit?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

/how-to-measure

Please relax; simply measure your bust wearing a bra. For the armscye, a standard measurement will be fine. Our dressmaker will adjust it accordingly.

Kind regards

Shirley

avatar - Shana

Thanks Shirley! We're good to proceed. Thank you for your patience and help.

avatar - Shirley

Okay:) You are very welcome!

avatar - Shana

Could you tell me when I should expect the dress? I'm curious about timing.

avatar - Shirley

I am losing weight, and just measured myself again. These measurements have changed:

Bust: 47 inches

Waist: 43.75 Inches

Hips: 53 inches

If the dress is in production and these can't be changed, I completely understand. If it's not in production and these can be changed, that would be appreciated.

avatar - Shirley

Hello dear

I've confirmed with the factory. We can make this dress for you using the new measurements you provided. Rest assured, it's all taken care of.

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - Shana

Now that it's September, I'm checking in on the dress. How's it going? When can I expect to receive photos?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

Your dress has been cut and is now being sewn. We expect to send you photos of the lace applique for your confirmation tomorrow. The dress is estimated to be completed in about one week.

Best regards

Shirley

Hello

We have already decorated the bodice with the lace appliqués. It's very beautiful! We will also add them to the skirt. Please rest assured, your dress is currently being made, and we are sourcing more lace to complete the decorations.

Please check the photo. Could we proceed with the next step of sewing?

avatar - Shana

It's beautiful! Yes, please proceed to sewing.

avatar - Shirley

Okay!!

Hello

I’m excited to let you know that your dress is finished—it looks absolutely gorgeous!

I have uploaded the photos and video of your dress for your preview and approval. Kindly check them out. Once we receive your final payment, we will arrange the shipment of your order ASAP.😊

Best regards

Shirley

avatar - Shana

This looks so beautiful! Thank you!

That little piece of fabric on the edge of the shoulders should be firm like the pictures I provided, but currently is rather floppy. Could you fix that? It might just need a stiffer fabric under it.

1000000727

Now that I see the straps, Im wondering if it's possible to embellish them a little so they match better with the body of the dress. At least the straps in front if not all the way around. Here are a couple of examples of what I mean.

Here's a photo

Hello

Yes, add some lace appliques on the straps, no problem!!

I will discuss with the dressmaker how to make the shoulders of the sleeves more structured.

Kind regards

Shirley

avatar - Shana

Also, is the lame shoulder piece lined? I assumed the whole dress was lined, but it looks it might not be in the shoulder piece and to keep from showing sweat it should be.

Are the corset and skirt lined as well?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

mceclip0

Rest assured, the entire dress has a lining. The cape also has a lining, but to achieve a better effect, we used lamé fabric for it.

If you want the sleeves to be stiffer, we can try to add another type of fabric as an interlining.

avatar - Shana

Thank you! This dress is amazing!

avatar - Shirley

Thank you for your understanding! We will try to make the sleeves more structured, while keeping all other design elements unchanged!

avatar - Shana

Also please embellish the straps.

avatar - Shirley

Yes, we will:)

We have finished the modifications on the sleeves and shoulder straps. Please check the uploaded video. We look forward to your quick approval so we can arrange for shipping soon. Thank you!

avatar - Shana

This is perfect! I paid. Please mail it. I purchased Express Shipping when I paid my deposit.
