Custom Dress for Prom ‘25

Thank you Lunss for a beautiful custom dress! I couldn’t choose a dress so decided to combine the styles of ones I liked with this service. I was hesitant to order a reasonably expensive dress online, but the results did not disappoint. It had to be taken in a lot (as it was quite loose), but most prom dresses need altering anyway. It’s the fullest, most unique and most princess-y dress I’ve ever had, and I even won Prom Queen! Thank you! 🩷✨

Dress #1 (purple/red one) I like the basque waist bodice shape and the V shaped boning but with glitter/jewels effect like dress #2. I want this exact colour including the purple/red two toned / layer effect.

Dress #2 (light blue one) I like the basque waist bodice shape with the glitter/jewels effect on the bodice and the jewels on the tulle. I like the voluminous fullness/layers of the tulle.

Dress #3 (green one) I want the lace back of this one and the basque waist shape of the bodice. I like the glitter effect on the tulle and the voluminous fullness/layers of the tulle.

Dress #4 (dark blue one) I like the glitter effect on the waist and tulle and the 3D butterflies effect on the tulle.

Fabric & Color

The main fabric of this dress could be satin for the bodice and tulle for the skirt.

I think the sheen you see is inherent to the satin fabric itself, which is a single-colored material. Since it will be covered with diamond embellishments, satin is perfectly suitable. What do you think?

Price & Order

I've noticed your budget is £300 ($373). I can offer you 365 USD if we replicate the same amount of sparkle from dress 2 and dress 3 on your dress. However, if you'd like a level of embellishment similar to dress 4, we'll need to add significantly more diamonds, which will increase both the cost and production time. In that case, the price would be around $465. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

For the tulle, I clicked the link but couldn't find a colour very close to this satin, so would it be possible to go for this one? -

Also, how many layers of tulle is it and would you be able to see the satin layer through the tulle, so the skirt looks roughly the same colour as the bodice and not too hot pink?
Could the volume still be achieved with e.g. a hoop without sacrificing this?
Or could the tulle go under the satin to achieve volume while keeping the skirt colour the same as the bodice?

Choose the $365 option, okay, noted! I've set the price for you, I just want to confirm if you'd like the glitter decorations and butterflies to be gold as in the sketch you sent.

#6 satin is perfect.

Our factory has multiple color swatches, some of which may not be displayed on the website. Therefore, I will have the dressmaker match the tulle color of the satin top to create the skirt. We can add 3-4 layers of soft net and one layer of stiff net, along with lining, to achieve a voluminous effect.

I think using tulle for the skirt is more romantic than satin, and closer to your sketch and what you have in mind.

If you want it even more puffy, you can prepare a small petticoat. Even without the petticoat, the skirt will still have a puffy look, similar to the blue dress in the picture. Is this fluffiness okay?

Since the gold butterflies we found are made of metal, we are worried that they will be damaged during transportation, so we will send them to you in a box. This way, after you receive them, you can easily sew them on without worrying about damaging the butterflies. Do you think this is okay?
