Wedding Dress Success

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to design the dress I wanted for my wedding.

Everyone I spoke to was very friendly, patient, and went out of their way to ensure I got what I asked for.

I will say that if your design is very complex, you might want to come in with a sketched concept. I originally wanted to convert the dress into a one piece pant romper but I think the vision got a little lost despite everyone’s best efforts.

My dress arrived on time, fit well, and was very much what I had requested. It also cost less than anything I could’ve bought stateside and I received a LOT of compliments on it.

I love the inspiration dress. The few changes I'd like to make is
1. The corset/top portion of the dress should be lined.
2. The bust should have a little more coverage and the plunge should be a little less deep.
2. Would it be possible to turn the bottom of the dress from dress to pants? I still want the material to be all billowy, just tapered at the ankles to turn it into a jumpsuit.

Hello

Thank you for choosing LUNSS for your high-end customization. This is Shirley at your service. It's my pleasure to assist you in custom-make your dreamy red tulle wedding dress😊

Dress Design

The corset/top portion of the dress should be lined.

Okay! If you don't need an illusion effect, we will add lining for the corset portion.

2. The bust should have a little more coverage and the plunge should be a little less deep.

It's no problem, I PS a rough sketch for your review:)

3. Would it be possible to turn the bottom of the dress from dress to pants? I still want the material to be all billowy, just tapered at the ankles to turn it into a jumpsuit.

Could you send me a picture for reference?

Regards

Shirley

Hi Shirley,

I look forrward to working with you :)

I'm including the images for reference and here is a little more detail on each label:

  1. Shows about how high bust coverage should have.
  2. Shows how low I'd like the plunge.
  3. Lining request. The images make it seem the entire top is completely sheer. I would love to either have it lined or just a little less see though.
  4. Gives a very rough idea of the pant suggestion.

Example 1 and Example 2:

These photos are for reference. I would like to achieve the same pant effect as these images. Even though they are pants, there is a flowy-ness and it isn't immediately obvious they are pants.

Thank you for your reply. The black jumpsuit you sent us is a wrap style for easy on and off, which is a great design. However, the design of this type of pants doesn't quite match the corset bodice you provided. As we specialize in making various skirts, we may not be able to provide you with a better pants design. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any other ideas or designs in mind, we're happy to hear them。

Best regards

Shirley

Hi Shirley,

I do not want to mimick the wrap around style of the black jumpsuit, I'm just using it to show the style/drape of the "pant" part.

Ideally, I would like the top to remain just as it is, the only change would be that instead of the dress ending like a dress on the bottom, it would collect at the ankles as pants.

I'm including one additional reference photo. In this photo, the top of the jumpsuit is also a corset style (instead of wrap around) but the bottom is very flowy pants so that it still almost looks like she's wearing a dress.

If this still isn't possible, that's okay. We'll try something else.

Hello

Thank you for your trust!

We're confident we can create a stunning bridal jumpsuit that's perfect for you! I've taken inspiration from many other jumpsuits that have a hidden back zipper that extends to the hip for easy on and off. Would you like to add puffy tulle detachable sleeves and a skirt for a touch of drama? And what fabric do you envision for your jumpsuit and skirt?

Hi

I've made a picture using Photoshop, but I'm not sure if it looks quite right. Could you take a look and see if there's anything I can improve?

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay in response.

I'm a little unsure if what I'd like isn't possible or if I'm just not communicating it successfully.

If at all possible, I'd like to turn the red dress into a jumpsuit. I love it just how it is, just instead of a dress at the bottom.

For example, I want to take the red dress from the original photo, and with the same dress material, make the bottom or "pants" part to look like two example photos.

All of the other photos are just meant to show the style of the pants part.

avatar - Shirley

I apologize for not being clear last time. To summarize, you'd like to keep the overall design but make the following changes:

  • Replace the skirt with a jumpsuit.
  • Add a lining to the top.
  • Raise the bustline.
  • Elevate the plunging neckline

I've attached a sketch to illustrate my understanding. Please let me know if this is what you have in mind.

Hi Shirley, that's much closer to the vision! Thank you :)

What would our nrext steps be?

avatar - Shirley

I am glad to receive your reply. I wish you a happy new year!😊

If there is no problem with the design, you can place an order next. Add the dress to your cart and complete your order.

We will send you a measuring guide so that you can provide us with detailed measurements. Then we will arrange for the factory to produce it.

We accept both standard size and custom size. If you choose standard size, you can refer to our size chart. If you choose custom size, you can refer to our measuring guide, and please provide the following data.

  • Height(barefoot)
  • Back Shoulder Width
  • Bust(fullest portion)
  • Under Bust
  • Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point
  • Waist(smallest portion of your waist)
  • Hips(fullest portion of your butt)
  • Wrist
  • Arm Circumference
  • Armscye
  • Sleeve Length

We also need the flowing measurements:

  • Thigh
  • Knee
  • Cuff
  • Inseam (Measurement is taken from the top of the inside leg to the lowest point of the hemline.)
  • Upper body length(from hollow to the waist)
  • Total length (measure from center of collar bone through the middle of breasts where it is flat to the cuff)

Hi,

Have you got your measurements?

I know taking measurements can be a bit of a hassle, but for a more accurate fit, you can go to a local tailor or ask a friend for help.

I found a similar design but with short sleeves, the jumpsuit is made of lace with the lining fabric. I think your pant design could reference this idea: using mesh as the outer layer and linen as the lining. What do you think? How do you think this type of pant shape would look?

Hi, how are you doing?

avatar - bellz333

Hi there. I apologize again for being so out of touch. I'm usually more consistent but it's been a process.

I've had some more time to think about what I'd like and I so appreciate all the work you've put in to trying to make the jumpsuit idea work, I'm just not sure I want to risk it.

Instead, let's keep it simple and go with the red dress in the original photo as a dress. I still want to make the corset adjustments as described previously (coverage/plunge/ect)..

If we pivot to the dress, is it possible to do a mock version first? And can you please tell me what kind of timelines we'd be working with for a 1. Mock dress and then 2. the final dress?

If we go with the dress, would you need a different set of measurements?

Thank you so much for your patience with me.

Very happy to receive your reply. Wishing you a Happy New Year! Today is our Chinese Spring Festival! If you would like to custom-make this dress based on the picture, it is okay!!

As long as you can provide us with the required measurements according to the measuring guide, we can make a well-fitted dress for you. So, a mock-up is not necessary.

  • Height(barefoot)
  • Back Shoulder Width

dress mock-up

If you can provide detailed measurements, then a mock-up is not necessary.

If you would like to try on the size, you can do so. You can add the mock-up and this dress to the shopping cart and place an order together. We will complete it within a week and arrange to send the mock-up to you for trial. After you try it on, please let us know if the size needs to be modified, and then we will start making the real dress.

Your wedding is in May, so we recommend placing your order as soon as possible. This is because it is currently the peak season, and the time required will be longer. Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards

Shirley

Good morning,

I finally have measurements! All of the following were measured in inches.

- Height(barefoot): 61"
- Back Shoulder Width: 15"
- Bust(fullest portion): 35"
- Under Bust: 28"
- Mid-Shoulder to Bust Point: 9"
- Waist(smallest portion of your waist): 28"
- Hips(fullest portion of your butt): 36"
- Hollow to Floor(barefoot): 50"
- Shoe Height: I still do not have my shoes and wasn't able to measure with them but the shoes have 5" Heel (12.7cm)
1" (2.5cm) Platform.
- Arm Circumference: 10"
- Armscye: 15.25"
- Sleeve Length: 20"

Are you able to tell me what fabric to expect from the skirt/bust/lining?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

So happy to hear from you!

Your measurements look great!

If you like an illusion effect boned bodice, then it will be made of lace and tulle, with an opaque built-in bra. The skirt will be made of tulle and ling fabric. All in red.

The fabric choices work for me. I do want to preserve the look of the original bust. When you say opaque bra, I'm not sure if that means it will look similar to the other two photos you've included.

I submitted my down payment last night so you should receive it shortly if not already.

avatar - Shirley

Thank you! We received your down payment! 🌹

Yes, the original dress's bodice is sheer and does not have bra cups. Do you want us to make it less sheer, but not opaque? Do you want to add bra cups? We look forward to receiving your confirmation as soon as possible.

mceclip2

mceclip0

avatar - bellz333

If possible, I'd love to make it a little less sheer but I would not want bra cups. Perhaps nude colored lining?

For additional clarity, the paneling does not have to be opaque. In an ideal world, it would just be sllightly less sheer.

avatar - Shirley

Hi

It's okay to keep the corset bodice less sheer.

mceclip0

We may add the built-in bra or not, I don't quite understand adding a nude colored lining to the bust. Perhaps you could just wear an invisible bra after you receive it?

avatar - bellz333

the bra: we don't have to worry about a bra.

The sheerness: if the dress can be made to look exactly as the original but just a little less see through in that bust area, fantastic. Let's do that. In all of the pictures right now, the outline of her breast is very obvious so it's hard to tell from images alone how sheer something is. I don't mind if it's still a little sheer, I'm just trying to avoid how see through it looks in the photos

Nude lining: this is not necessary. I don't know anything about creating dresses. This was just the first thing that came to mind that provides an illusion of nudity without actually showing anything.

avatar - Shirley

Hello

How about we add a nude built-in bra for you?

tb_image_share_1740625871048

avatar - bellz333

IWould the bra not be visible/obvious?
I could be wrong but it seems like if people can see flesh they could see a bra too, no?

avatar - Shirley

Hello

We apologize for the delayed response to your previous message.

We understand your request. We can proceed without adding the built-in bra and nude lining. To minimize the dress's transparency, we will add an extra 1-2 layers of tulle.

We will arrange for your order to be made as soon as possible.
