Hi there,

I would like to have the make of the dress in the first picture with some alterations including the button down back and the off the shoulder sleeve look. I would also like to change the overlay fabric to something more simple to add the same textured effect but slightly more blended. 

I am a Aus size 6-8 I don’t have my exact measurements as yet.  Can I please have a quote on how much my vision is likely to cost?

    - Remove spaghetti straps and add drop sleeves in fuchsia circle on the dress. Keep original plunging sweetheart neckline. Please kindly note that once we change to off the shoulder bodice design, the back will be higher. Otherwise, the dress could not stay on your body.

Hi Tansy,

yes I love the original dress as it is, I don’t want to change the back for the sleeves so I will keep the straps that are on it and add the buttons down the back. No I don’t think plain material would be as nice, but maybe something softer and not shiny for the top layer.. what do you suggest?

Hi Tansy,

I like the pattern of the overlay on the original dress but I don’t like that it’s shiny I would like something very similar without any shine if that’s possible? I also like that the ordinal dress is has boneing in it and I would like that to be the same too. I’m not against beading or spots of something with shine which I think could be nice but I don’t like the entire dress to be shiny.

  • This dress could be made of ivory lace fabric so that it is not shiny. I find some lace fabrics which are good for your dress. Please kindly check and let me know which one you would prefer.

Would you like to add beads, sequins to slightly decorate all patterns on the lace fabric fully?

Thank you, I didn’t know I had communication to respond to. I like the one that ends in 4146 I think. Do you have any dresses you could show me that have used that lace?

Also im between a size 6 and 8 in Aus measurements and I’m about 157cm tall if this helps with pricing?

I think I would like some beading on the straps I’m not really sure what will look nice.

I’m not sold on the lace I’ve chosen for the dress, do you have anything similar to the original dress? I tried on something similar to the lace I’ve chosen today and I don’t like it as much as I thought I would.

Hi Tansy,

I like the colour of this version of the same dress it’s called “blush”. Also can you see how the lace comes up over the breast area onto the skin. I would like to get rid of that and have the lace clean cut and fit to the dress without the overhang there. If this is not possible, I’m happy for it to be very minimal around this area. I’d still like to keep the overhang part around the back part of the dress. As you can see the dress has a lot of boning in it. I would like that part to be exactly the same as this dress.

Also with the buttons down the back of the dress how much more would it be to continue the buttons until the end of the dress?

The dress you tried on is not made of the lace fabric I advised above. It should be embroidered sequin fabric, you could call it sequined lace fabric. We have same white patterned embroidered sequin fabric.

I like the colour of this version of the same dress it’s called “blush”.

  • There are many colors which are called blush. If the lining is stretchy, you could choose blush color you want from jersey color charts. If the lining is not stretchy, you could choose blush color from satin color charts.
  • Is the entire dress including top and skirt fully lined or only area above green line lined?

This dress shows the shape I want to achieve. All of the straight lines areboning. However I don’t feel I need that much some extra on the sides and maybe the back (if you think this will achieve what I’m after?) I’m really reliving on your knowledge and skills here. Thanks again

Yes, I see the lining. It seems that the lining is made of stiff satin. You could choose color from our stiff satin color charts for the lining.

i love my dres but I will need some alterations in the breast area. The dress doesn’t sit flush on my boobs which I was hoping so so I wouldn’t have to wear a bra, however even with a bra the top part dosent sit right. Please see photos attached

Hi Tansy,

Im unable to send a video. I checked your measuring guide again and re messured myself. The measurements are the same for all except bust is 81cm now and not 82cm and my hips are 90 not 91cm. I checked these each 3 times and was very careful to do it exactly how the guide explains. I may have lost a slight bit of weight but I wouldn’t think 1cm would make that much of a difference in the busy area? I compared my bra to the bra inserts in the dress and the dress is much bigger. Is this something that can be fixed? Will altering this dress ruin it?

Sorry for the delay I didnt realise that there was a time limit.

I will need to do it tomorrow as I don’t have anyone here to film it while I measure. My measurements haven’t changed since I was 19 which is now 10 years ago. I was careful to measure correctly as per your guide the last time I sent measurements but if you really need me to do this I can do it tomorrow.

I am glad to tell you that my company would like to alter the dress for you for free, if it is our fault to make the dress size by mistake, and you only need to cover shipping fee.

We could alter the dress as well if you provide incorrect measurements, but you need to cover the alteration fee and shipping fee. Please kindly note that the alterations I referred to are what can be done on the finished dress.
