Oh yay! I'm so glad that we can do it at this price point!

• I didn't even realize the top is see through! You have a great eye! No, I do not want any part to be see through. The whole dress should be lined please.
• I'd love to talk about lace right away if you don't mind, before I confirm the order. The lace is the most important part for me. I just read your lace blog and looked through your selection. I like the ivory floral embroidered lace, (https://www.lunss.com/ivory-floral-embroidered-bridal-lace-fabric-1835.html) but would love to hear your suggestions or see pictures of other similar laces you may have in my price range! What I really love about the dress in the pictures i sent you is that the lace hangs over the edges a bit...in this beautiful, abstract, asymmetrical way! I'd love to keep that...do you think it's possible with just the lace fabric, or perhaps a couple small appliques at the neck line? Let me know what you think.
• for the fabric under the lace...i would go for a cheaper option if it meant that I could get a nicer lace. All i really care about is that it's ivory, and it's not shiny. I don't really like shiny fabrics
• I think i misspoke when I said 3/4 sleeves....to be clear, I'd like the sleeves to come to my elbow
• for the skirt...a line might be too slim! I do want a little shape to it. Maybe I'm being too picky, and we should keep the original picture...it's just hard to tell when it's not on a person! I'd like it to be just below the knee with that vintage style shape...so i think it does need a bit of poof!

• I've changed my mind about the skirt. I would like it just like the original picture! Sorry to be so confusing! I'll understand if that brings the price estimate up a little. That's fine with me.
• I'll be sending measurements within the next day or two. I'll be going to my local seamstress, and I'll be sure to include the extra measurements for hem and sleeves!

The toile is here! It looks great, just a few problems in the shoulder area! Also, my tailor here suggested that with the V neck and the low back, there may be some trouble keeping the sleeves up...which now definitely seems to be a problem! Is it possible to add a small, simple string of pearls to the back as a way to hold it together better? Something similar to this picture?

Also, can we go deeper on the V neck? Should we send a new measurement?

Anyway, here are some more pictures. The length and where the waist falls is fine. The fit in the shoulders is awkward, but it seems as though a bit at the top just needs to be taken in. My boyfriend pinched off a bit, and the fit was much better then. I hope these pictures help!

I've had another thought about the neckline. Perhaps if we made the shoulder cap a bit wider and did a plunge style neckline it would be closer to what I'd like. On the toile, it just felt that the neckline was a bit modest for my taste! Something similar to the pictures below. Don't worry if you're not back in the office yet...I'm patient!

What you marked is exactly right! I should have said 'narrow the v neck.' That looks great.

Also, any thoughts on a solution for the back/shoulders sliding down? Are you guys able to do the pearl clasp?
