Thanks for the quick reply! Is the quoted price including that 30% discount advertised? I know that $269 is within my pre-stated budget, but I'm sure you understand that I'd like to save money if I can. I certainly hope I won't, but I'm keeping in mind the possibility that I might still have to get alterations done, which would be extra costs.

I don't like the belt at the waist - as simple and seamless is possible in terms of any visible lines will be ideal. As for the removable bow idea, I think I like it! Perhaps it could be made of the same satin material as the skirt and a larger, fuller bow?

For the sample of lace you attached, could you perhaps send an additional picture with a ruler so I can get a sense for the scale? Also if you have additional lace options, I'd be interested to see them. The one you provided a picture of is OK, but I wonder if there are ones I would like more.

Hi Tansy,

I'm not quite clear on your question about the "tight area". Are you asking if I want there to be space under the connection between the bodice and skirt before the pleating? Like the in the first mock up picture? as opposed to the pleating beginning right under the connection, like in the picture of the gray dress? If that's the question, then my answer is that I prefer it to be like the mock up with space. Let me know if you're asking something different =)

Lace on the top and satin sounds good I think... would it be the same satin under the lace, or does that come with its own fabric? I'm just wondering about color and how to make sure it all matches.

For the bow, I was thinking a little bit smaller than you have drawn. About 5 inches across, and 3 inches high? Would that still be an additional fee?

Thanks for clearing that up! I will go with option 2 which has the connected pleats under the bodice/skirt interface.

As for colors - picking this online is tough!! Right now I'm leaning towards either 88 or 23 (ever so slight preference for 88 over 23). I know the two are different, but I'm hoping you'll be able to provide some help. I'm of Asian decent with a slightly olive complexion. Not tan, but also not completely fair skinned. Do you think one will look better the other? Also I'm having a hard time visualizing the lace over top the satin and don't know about dying. My initial instinct was to just have white lace over top, but if you have a suggestion for what might look best, I'd love to hear it.

Thank you so much for being so quick with everything! I'm going to sleep on it and just make sure it all still feels right in the morning. In the mean time, do you think it's possible for you to get a sketch with colors - so I can more easily visualize the finished product?

Also can you walk me through what will happen next? Is the $284 ($269 quote + $15 bow) final, or will that change depending on my measurements? And does the removable bow just mean that it will be attached with a safety pin? In which case, this may be silly, but do I have to worry about the satin potentially getting pin marks from repeated removal/attachment (sort of like what is in the 88 sample picture).

The sketch service you offer is lovely, but I just wanted something that would help me get a better idea of what everything will look like when finished. I know you said you don't have any lace in house, but do you have just a small piece that you might be able to overlay on the satin so that I can see what satin #88 looks like with white on top of it? Also I added in some measurements - the waist to hem measurement is basically from waist to just below my knee, where I'd like the skirt to end, and then the waist to floor is indeed waist to floor measurement, though I'd like the dress to fall mid calf length (just measured and it's about 34 in). I can't seem to see the measurements I submitted - let me know if they go through.

I'm so close to saying yes to this and committing to it; I just want whatever help you can offer in terms of visualizing the colors of the final product with lace over the bodice and how a full skirt of this satin will look. In the small satin #88 sample, it looks very pretty, but I'm wondering if in a larger amount, it will be darker than I'm visualizing. Thanks for working with me on this!

Ahh! It's so crazy seeing my ideas in a real, finished product!

Would it be possible to see what it might look like with a sash of the same satin material? I know I originally siad I didn't want that, but seeing it in reality now, something is a bit off that I hope the sash will fix.

Thanks for your picture. I did my own Photoshopping and think the sash will fix it. Could I have it be about the width that I have in my mock up attached?

Also question about this.. will it be a removable sash that ties in back? Or can it be a permanent part of the dress? If possible, I'd like it to be permanent. Let me know how to pay the $15.

If it's not possible to be attached and can only be a removable sash that ties, then I actually think I do not need the bow anymore. In that case, can my previously paid $15 go towards the sash?

Hi Tansy,

I just received the dress and it's so much more beautiful than pictures!

The only thing is that the pin on the bow isn't very secure so that if it is very hard to re-pin in a different location (however once pinned, it seems fine). Basically the needle will fall out from the part that is secured to the dress. Do you have suggestions for how to replace it?

Also I will write a review soon for the 5% discount.
